1. Information we collect

Account information: when you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Study data: your exam and level selection, quiz answers, flashcard progress, mock exam results, canvas notes, study streaks, and other activity you generate while using the Service. This data exists to power your AI tutor context, adaptive quizzes, and progress analytics.

Payment information: paid plans are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. RM Atoms does not receive or store your full card, UPI, or bank account details — Razorpay handles that in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.

Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and general usage logs, collected automatically for security and reliability purposes.

2. How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and deliver the Service you signed up for.
• To personalize AI tutoring, adaptive quizzes, and readiness analytics to your actual progress.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions and refunds.
• To send transactional emails — account verification, password resets, and support responses.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To improve the Service based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate RM Atoms, including:

• Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails (password resets, receipts, support replies).
• Amazon Web Services (S3) — secure storage of uploaded study materials and generated content.
• AI model providers (such as OpenAI and Google) — processing the questions you ask the AI Tutor, solely to generate a response to you.

Each of these providers is contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to RM Atoms.

4. Cookies and local storage

RM Atoms uses browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits (storing your session and refresh tokens) and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active, so your progress is never lost between sessions or subscription renewals. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted password hashing, access-controlled databases, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

8. Children's privacy

RM Atoms is intended for candidates preparing for professional and graduate-level exams and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
